Qiaoyu is a Postdoctoral Researcher working on the Forensic Epidemiology and Impact of Substandard and Falsified Antimicrobials on Public Health (FORESFA) project and the Social Network Analysis project at the Department of Sociology.

He completed his DPhil in Sociology at the University of Oxford in 2024. His thesis investigated the extra-legal governance of the cybercrime industry in China.

Qiaoyu’s research interests are organised crime and cybercrime, as well as how conventional organised crime groups adapt to the information age.
